Meet Sasha Dewsnup

I was introduced to Chinese medicine through my mother, who sought answers to my scoliosis and other health challenges. Following seven spine surgeries, I received acupuncture, which helped me to recover faster than expected. In my undergraduate degree, I became a Recreational Therapy Specialist (CTRS) and a Child Life Specialist (CCLS), professions inspired by my time in the hospital. Soon after, I discovered the National University of Natural Medicine and felt called to pursue a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (DAaCHM) with licensure as an acupuncturist in Oregon (LAc).

I live with my incredible husband, sweet bonus son, and beautiful infant daughter. When I’m not spending time with my family or working, I enjoy reading, baking, crocheting, forest bathing, playing the harp, and learning new things. My journey through health, education, and motherhood deepened my belief that healing involves the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

My Treatment Approach

As a Doctor of Chinese Medicine and acupuncturist, I approach each patient with compassion, honesty, and a personalized plan designed for their unique needs. I believe each person is the hero of their own healing journey. My role is to guide and support them as we work together to understand their health concerns, see how everything is connected, and discover what brings them lasting balance and well-being.

I draw on my background as a Child Life Specialist to explain, in down-to-earth terms, how acupuncture and other treatments work and why they help. I also enjoy integrating Chinese medicine with Western medical care—helping patients prepare for and recover from procedures, and offering simple self-care practices they can use along the way.

From my training in Recreational Therapy, I emphasize not only the patient experience during a treatment session but also how healing can continue outside the clinic. I plan to offer experiences such as qigong classes, forest bathing workshops, sound bath meditations, and mini reset retreats—all designed to help patients reconnect with themselves and their environment.

I believe life’s challenges are opportunities for growth and learning. That has been true in my own journey, and I know it can be true in yours. I also believe we are divinely placed where the resources for healing surround us—we simply need to find them. If my message resonates with you, I’d be honored to support you in your journey toward meaningful, holistic healing.

Women's Health

Chronic stress, anxiety, burnout, and the body that has forgotten how to fully rest.

Cycle irregularities, perimenopause, fertility support, and the hormonal transitions that Western medicine often rushes past.
